Volker Lankow

Volker Lankow has been working as a percussionist since the late 1970s. He lives in Berlin and plays and works in many different projects, including with Bernhard Wöstheinrich, Bridge to Imla (Michael Brückner & Hans Dieter Schmidt) and David Rothenberg, to name just a few and most important. Volker works on many solo projects in which he mainly uses electronics and percussion to develop his own vision of experimental sounds, drones and world music. Lankow’s solo projects are a testament to his innovative spirit, blending experimental sounds, drones, and world music influences.
